1. Service Overview
AuthorDesk HQ provides author business tools for writing, editing, publishing, marketing, calendar planning, contacts, and finance tracking. Some features may depend on your selected plan, third-party integrations, or user-provided AI/API services.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate registration information and keep your account details reasonably current.
3. Trials, Plans, and Billing
AuthorDesk HQ may offer free plans, no-card trials, monthly subscriptions, yearly subscriptions, lifetime offers, and promotions. Paid billing is processed through Stripe. Trial access may automatically downgrade to the free plan when the trial expires unless you upgrade.
4. User Content
You retain ownership of manuscripts, notes, references, business records, and other content you add to AuthorDesk HQ. You grant AuthorDesk HQ permission to store, process, and display your content only as needed to provide the service.
5. AI and Third-Party Services
AuthorDesk HQ is designed to work with user-provided AI providers and external services. You are responsible for any third-party API keys, local models, account terms, usage costs, and data-sharing decisions connected to those services.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use AuthorDesk HQ to break the law, violate others’ rights, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, or upload malicious code. You are responsible for ensuring your publishing, marketing, and business activities comply with applicable laws and platform rules.
7. Availability and Changes
AuthorDesk HQ is prelaunch software and may change as features are built, tested, and improved. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service as needed.
8. No Professional Advice
AuthorDesk HQ may help organize business, finance, publishing, and marketing information, but it does not provide legal, tax, accounting, financial, publishing, or medical advice. You should consult qualified professionals when needed.

The service is provided as is and as available. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every use case.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, AuthorDesk HQ is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
11. Termination
You may stop using AuthorDesk HQ at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or use the service in a way that creates risk for other users or the platform.
